Full Description

Two small circular hollows, 5-6m across, are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the north-east of West Creech Farm. They are potentially post medieval extractive pits or early 20th century bomb craters. The underlying geology is sand. The south-western hollow is still visible on recent Google Earth imagery; they were both digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
