Full Description

Two mounds are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946. They are considered to be the sites of military firing points or targets associated with East Holme Range (MDO31782) (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project, they have since been demolished and are no longer visible under scrub vegetation on recent Google Earth images.
