The probable site of a military installation (comprising a polygonal protective barbed wire enclosure surrounding a small group of features including three building structures) is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945-6 to the northwest of North Egliston (1-2). The features are not visible on recent Google Earth imagery; they were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
