Full Description

Dispersed linear banks and ditches are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945-6 to the south of the B3070 at Cockles, East Lulworth. They are considered likely to be boundaries associated with medieval settlement (1-2). The features are still partially visible as very low earthworks on recent Google Earth imagery; they were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
