Full Description

Four round barrows, probably bowl barrows, on top of spur running north-east from Black Down. 'B' (62808857) 145 yds north-north-east of 'A'. Diam about 54 ft. Ploughed almost flat. <1> <3>

'B' SY 62808857. Diameter 17.0m., height 0.5m. No visible ditch. Ploughed down. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <5>

SY 633889. round barrow on Rew Hill. Scheduled, No 505. (Barrow 'B'). <4>

Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but unclear if detected within field 392A. The report SDO18127 says 'the site of a barrow and was not clearly seen in the magnetic data although it being right at the edge of the survey means that any mis-positioning by the Ordnance Survey could put it beyond the surveyed area.' <8>
