Full Description
A small rounded hollow is visible as earthworks on aerail photographs taken in 1946 (1). It is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit although a natural origin cannot be ruled out. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project, it is still visible as a low earthwork and cropmark on recent Google Earth vertical photographs (2).
