Summary

A bowl barrow visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. In 1970 this monument was reported as around 60 feet in diameter with a mound about 3½ feet high, and had been ploughed. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Full Description

SY66038664. Ploughed Bowl barrow on north slope, 60 ft diameter, 3 1/2 ft high. Oval depression 60 ft N-S by 45 ft and 3 ft deep, touches W. side. <1> <3>

SY 66028664. Bowl barrow in arable, as described by RCHM. <3>. Diameter 20.0m. height 0.7m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

Bowl, 60ft. in diam and 3.5ft. high, has been ploughed. Oval depression 60ft. by 45ft. and 3ft. deep, touches W. side <3>. Visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs <7>. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
