Full Description

(Centred SY 643867) Three round barrows - 'C'. Ditched bowl barrow 38 feet in diameter by 3 feet high. Ditch 10 feet wide. Ploughed. <1> <2>

'C' SY 64378674. Bowl barrow, diameter 14.0m., height 0.9m. No visible ditch now. Ploughed. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

Site of a Bronze Age barrow, one of a group of three barrows (MDO357-59) and part of a larger barrow cemetery extending along the Dorset Ridgeway.

Also visible as circular earthwork mound on aerial photographs <6-8>, measuring approximately 11.5 metres in diameter. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
