Full Description
A post medieval clay pit is marked on the First and Second Edition OS maps, located in fields to the south of Corfe Common, Corfe Castle. A pit is visible as earthworks at this location on aerial photographs (Dorset County Council 2002). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck mapping project.
