Full Description
A post medieval chalk pit is marked on the First Edition OS map (1), located in fields to the north of Blashenwell Farm, Corfe Castle. A pit is visible as earthworks and cropmarks at this location on aerial photographs (2-4). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck mapping project.
