Summary

A linear bank is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Town's End, Corfe Castle. It is considered likely to be the remains of a historic field boundary or trackway. It may have marked the extent of the town fields at one time.

Full Description

A linear bank and ditch which encloses part of Corfe Common. It is probably linked to the pastoral use of the open common and may have marked the extent of the town fields at one time. <1-2>

A linear bank is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Town's End, Corfe Castle <3>. It is considered likely to be the remains of a historic field boundary or trackway. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck mapping project.
