Full Description
Circa SY 69408505. An almost ploughed-out round barrow, characteristic of a disc barrow, was found on Bincombe Hill by C.J. Bailey during the drought of 1976. Colour transparencies of the site are held by Bailey. <1>
Disc barrow 40m in diameter is visible on aerial photographs <5> as a cropmark ring ditch with internal ditch and central pit. The site was digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
