Post medieval gravel pits are marked on the First Edition OS map (1), located on the northern part of Brenscombe Heath, Corfe Castle. A group of pits are visible as earthworks at this location on aerial photographs (2). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
