Full Description
Post medieval gravel pits are marked on the First Edition OS map, located on the southern part of Brenscombe Heath, Corfe Castle. A group of pits are visible as earthworks at this location on aerial photographs (Dorset County Council 2002). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
