A group of small circular hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of New Mills Heath, Corfe Castle taken in 1946. They are considered likely to be the remains of Second World War fox holes or shell holes associated with military training activity (1). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
