Full Description
An enclosure and additional field boundaries are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs of heathland to the north of Thornmoor House, Arne (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval field system. They are located in an area noted as newly enclosed on Treswell's map of 1586 (see record MWX3129). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
