Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow, part of larger linear barrow cemetery extending along the South Dorset Ridgeway. Recorded by field investigators as an extant mound. Also visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs.

Full Description

A bowl barrow, diameter 18 ft, height 1 1/2 ft {1-2}.

Later field investigations record it as being 6.5m in diameter, with a height of 0.3m. No visible ditch {3}.

Also visible as a circular cropmark on aerial photographs {4}, measuring approximately 11.2 metres in diameter. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
