Two Second World War bomb craters are visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946, on Throop Heath, Affpuddle. The craters are sub-circular in shape and measure 4 m in diameter. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
