Possible post medieval extraction spoil is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1980 to the south of Piddle Wood, Turners Puddle. The features consist of four amorphous banks visible over an area measuring approximately 150 m by 70 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
