Full Description
A series of small extractive pits with associated spoil heaps are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in the vicinity of Woodhill Coppice to the southwest of West Orchard Farm (1-3). They are possibly associated with the lime industry. Some of the features are still visible as extant earthworks on the latest Google Earth imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
