Two chalk pits of medieval or post medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. They are part of a series of chalk pits located on the lower southern slopes of Knowle Hill and are associated with a lime kiln(1). The features are still visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
