Full Description

A small group of post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Stonehill Down, Church Knowle (1-2). They are partially marked on the OS 1st edition map and are still visible as low earthworks on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
