A series of hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on low limestone ridge to the south of Bradle Farm, Church Knowle. Steeple. They are not marked on the OS 1st edition maps but are considered to be post medieval extraction pits. (1-3). They are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
