Monument record MDO31238 - Undated strip lynchets (possibly medeival) Steeple

A series of parallel lynchets are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs in the vicinity of Steeple village. The features may be medieval strip lynchets although a geological origin cannot be ruled out.

The features may be medieval strip lynchets although a geological origin cannot be ruled out (1-3). They are still visible as cropmarks on the latest Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
