A small circular hollow, probably the site of a Second World War shell hole or bomb crater is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on Middlebere Heath, Arne (1). The feature is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
