Full Description

Post medieval trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar running roughly north-south across Middlebere Heath. (1-2). The features run from the northern edge of the heath southwards for 1.4km to Gallows Plantation. They are still visible as earthworks on recent Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP. Numerous other trackways cut across Middlebere Heath and these are described separately in records MDO31192 and 93.
