A wide scatter of small shell holes and bomb craters, possibly relating to the Second World War, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on Middlebere Heath, Arne (1-2). The features are no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery. They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
