An area of post medieval extraction visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Stoborough Heath east of the A351 (1-2). Sand pits are marked at this location on the OS 1st edition map. The site is still partially visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
