Full Description
Two post medieval extraction pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 and recent lidar imagery on Godlingston Heath, Studland. The pits are situated on silty clay. They are a similar size, measuring up to approximately 22 m by 14 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
