Full Description
Two areas of post medieval extraction are visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 on Godlingston Heath, Studland. The pits are situated on silty clay and visible over an area measuring approximately 235 m by 160 m (Royal Air Force 1946). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
