Two areas of post medieval quarrying spoil are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1982 on Kingswood Heath, Studland. The spoil takes the form of finger dumps and the areas measure 165 m by 30 m and 185 m by 150 m. (1-2) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
