Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery on Ballard Down to the south of Studland. The pit is situated on chalk and measures approximately 72 m by 30 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
