A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 on Godlingston Hill, Swanage. The pit is situated on chalk and measures approximately 35 m by 25 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
