Summary

A small bank and ditched structure lying inside a curvilinear enclosure to the west of the road at Metherhills. The feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945; the enclosure is possibly made of barbed wire and the feature is possibly of Second World War military origin. It is no longer visible on later imagery.

Full Description

A small bank and ditched structure lying inside a curvilinear enclosure to the west of the road at Metherhills. The feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 (1); the enclosure is possibly made of barbed wire and the feature is possibly of Second World War military origin. It is no longer visible on later imagery and was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
