Fragments of a field system of prehistoric or later origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Smedmore Hill (1-5). The system is likely to be of prehistoric origin although later reuse in the medieval and post medieval periods likely. The field system is overlain by ridge and furrow described in MDO31060. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
