A Second World War structure, which may be a gun emplacement is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1945, Windmill Knap, Langton Matravers. The structures that form the possible gun emplacement run around a sub-circular area measuring 10 m in diameter, with an entrance on the western side. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
