Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 to the north of Little Linnings Copse, Langton Matravers. The pit is situated on Limestone and sub-oval, measuring approximately 6 m by 4 m. The pit has a bank of spoil around it southern and eastern edge. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
