A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 to the east of Windmill Knap, Langton Matravers. The pit is situated on Limestone and sub-circular, measuring approximately 13 m in diameter. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
