Fragments of an earthwork bank are visible on aerial photographs of the southern end of Upton Heath (1). It is possible this could be the remains of a historic or earlier enclosure which has been cut by post medieval quarrying. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible as on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
