Full Description
(Centred SY 675882) Barrow group noted by Skinner in 1829. 'B' SY 67528819. Possible disc barrow with central mound about 60 feet in diameter by 1 1/2 feet high, surrounded by ditch and external bank about 150 feet in diameter. <1>
All the barrows are visible on Crawford air photograph. <3>
'B' SY 67548819. Barrow, diameter 20.0m. Approximately height 0.3m. No visible ditch. All these barrows are in arable and have been ploughed-down to such an extent that their type cannot be determined. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
Possible disc barrow, central mound about 60ft. In diam and 1.5ft. High, surrounded by ditch and external bank about 150ft. In diam. It is cut by another disc barrow, Winterborne Monkton 10. (RCHM). Visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs <7>. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
