Full Description
A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields to the south of Upton Heath (1-2). This feature is also marked here on Historic OS Maps (3-5). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval pond. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. This feature is not visible as on the most recent Google Earth imagery, this area having since been built over by modern development.
