The remains of an early Twentieth Century quarry are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945, located on the southern part of Upton Heath. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are still partially visible as on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
