Full Description
A group of small pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of an elevated area of former heathland to the west of Broadstone, Poole (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval or modern extractive activity. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery, this area having since been built over by modern development.
