Full Description
A linear group of northwest-southeast orientated oblong mounds, each approximately 3.5m x 1.7m, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Slepe Heath, Arne taken in 1946 (1). It is possible these could be the remains of Second World War anti-landing obstacles. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery, this are now being under modern plantation.
