'Corn-Drying Oven. Found at Herringston Dairy House during construction of a silage clamp in summer 1992. Visited by Peter J Woodward, who recorded the oven, and took samples for mollusca and macro plant remains. The drier had a single flue and double stack, was associated with New Forest wares and probably late Roman (3rd century) in date.'
