A linear group of circular pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Stoborough Heath, Arne taken in 1945 (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of Second World War bomb craters. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are still extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
