Full Description
A group of pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Stoborough Heath, Arne taken in 1945 (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval extractive pits. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are still extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
