Full Description
A group of twenty-two possible Second World War weapons pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 on Godlingston Heath. The earthworks are formed of small oval pits, measuring approximately 3 m by 2 m, surrounded by banks of spoil. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
