Full Description
A group of possible Second World War military buildings within an enclosure are visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1946 on Ballard Down. The site consists of at least five small structures, one of which is within a walled enclosure. The function of the buildings is unclear, but they may be military in origin. (1) The buildings appear to be connected to a second, similar site, by a trackway (see MDO30837 and MDO30838). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
