An area of Second World War training trenches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 on Ballard Down. The trenches are visible over an area measuring approximately 140 m by 40 m. The earthworks consist of short sections of zig-zag trenches. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
